    The chief information security officer (CISO) is responsible for providing strategic leadership and oversight of the University of Toronto’s (U of T) information security and privacy programs. He leads senior technology managers and staff on securing University systems and data assets and implementing practices that meet U of T’s policies and standards for information security. In addition, the CISO identifies, evaluates and reports information security risks to the chief information officer (CIO).

  • About the CISO

    Isaac Straley joined U of T in 2018. Isaac holds the inaugural appointment of chief information security officer (CISO) at the University. In this dynamic role, Isaac reports to the chief information officer (CIO), and has oversight of the Information Security program, ensuring that the U of T’s networks, systems and information are protected meeting.
